Aamir Khan, known for being a perfectionist shares an instance when he refused to eat at Shah Rukh Khan’s house party for Apple CEO, Tim Cook.
Aamir Khan is one of those actors who goes to lengths to get into a character. His role in Dangal was one of the most challenging, where the superstar not only gained several kilos but shed a lot for just one sequence. Aamir shocked the audience with his determination when he shared a transformation video during the promotions. Aamir had revealed that he went on a strict diet to get into the skin of the character.
Recently at an event promoting a book on diet, Aamir was asked how he manages his diet when he attends lavish parties, does he eat the food there or skip it. Mr. Perfectionist cracked up the audience with his reply. "I carry my own tiffin. If you ever meet Shah Rukh ask him about it, he will tell you an interesting story. When Tim Cook visited SRK's home, he invited all of us for dinner. Gauri (Khan) told me to have dinner and I told her I will definitely eat and go. She went on to say dinner is served, so I replied 'I have got my own tiffin'," the actor said.
Aamir was on a strict diet, so he preferred carrying his own tiffin. But after the food was served everyone got a shock by looking at the quantity. Shah Rukh quipped whether he was gaining weight or losing it. To which Aamir replied saying, he was shedding kilos. But the quantity of his food said otherwise! FYI this party was thrown while he was shooting for Dangal. So even as we find his reply funny, we have immense respect for his dedication.
On the work front, Aamir will be next seen in the movie Lal Singh Chaddha, which is the adaptation of Forrest Gump. The star will be shedding at lot of weight for this one too.
